  • OBJECTION TO A NOTICE OF FREEZING

    If you have been arrested or interviewed by police in connection with a drug related matter and more recently a cannabis matter your assets may be at risk.

    If the Police have served you with a NOTICE OF FREEZING or threaten you that they will do so, you have 28 days from the Date of Service to file your NOTICE OF OBJECTION.

    Your NOTICE OF OBJECTION must be filed in the Supreme Court and then a sealed copy personally served on the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). If you do not file a NOTICE OF OBJECTION your assets may be automatically confiscated by the Sate.

    The NOTICE OF OBJECTION will list the assets which the DPP plan to confiscate. In order to draft your NOTICE OF OBJECTION you will need to inform your Legal Practitioner the names of any person who has a legal or equitable interest in the assets listed.

  • Police Questioning
  • If you have been arrested and taken into custody or simply asked by police to accompany them or meet them at a police station to participate in a suspect interview YOU DO NOT HAVE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS except to provide your name and your address and YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN A VIDEO RECORD OF INTERVIEW.
